We have some exciting news! Students from Kindergarten through fifth grade have been selected to represent Winston as the 2026 Reading Ambassadors for Douglas Loves Literacy. Here are the students and what their teachers have to say about them.
Merci’ana, a kindergarten student, consistently participates in class, reads well, and strives to do her best in all areas.
Eden, a first-grade student, has excellent attendance, is an avid reader, and consistently uses Beanstack to log her reading. In addition, she is always well-behaved.
Zariyah, a second-grade student, has shown tremendous growth in iReady Reading and loves participating in Beanstack. She also consistently meets her goals on Amira.
Farhad, a third-grade student, consistently goes above and beyond in class. He is like a sponge, always eager to learn new things, and is a joy to have in the classroom. He often enjoys sharing his books and knowledge with others.
Cameron, a fourth-grade student, demonstrates exceptional reading skills and actively participates in class. He encourages and supports his peers, stepping in to help when others need it. He shows a genuine love of reading and is always eager to learn more.
Iman, a fifth-grade student, shows outstanding engagement on Beanstack and has demonstrated significant growth on the iReady diagnostic. In addition to meeting these criteria, she is a hardworking student who actively participates in class and is a supportive classmate. She eagerly takes part in literacy projects and has a true passion for reading. She would be an excellent choice to serve as a 5th-grade Reading Ambassador.
We are proud of these Literacy Champions and are confident they will represent our school with excellence.
