Winston Elementary held its annual Spelling Bee today, and the competition was fierce between our fourth- and fifth-grade spellers. In the end, two fifth graders—Juan and Lyric—battled it out word for word. After an impressive 24 rounds, Lyric was declared the Spelling Bee Champion!
We are so proud of all of our participants. Our fourth-grade students—Amaia, Leyla, Kylie, Michael, Sire, and Karolina—did an outstanding job spelling alongside our fifth-grade students—Millie, Hans, Ian, Juan, Lyric, Dalyn, and Jennifer.
Congratulations to all who participated, and best of luck to our champion speller, Lyric, and our alternate speller, Juan, as they represent our school at the county Spelling Bee in January!
