Laurie Washington
Welcome to Music! I'm Laurie Washington, the General Music teacher and Chorus Director at WES. I have taught at Winston since 2014 and truly am happy to call myself a Winston Wildcat! I am originally from Miami, FL and relocated to the Atlanta area in 2008. I have an undergraduate degree in Vocal Performance and a Master of Music degree in Music Education. My family includes 3 married sons, two sweet grandsons, and my rowdy lab, Gideon. I enjoy singing with the Georgia Symphony Orchestra Chorus in Marietta, attending live music,
playing the piano, hiking/walking, traveling, and reading.
