Toni Woods

TW

Hi, my name is Mrs. Woods, and I am thrilled to be your child’s 4th grade teacher at Winston Elementary school! I am committed to making this a memorable and enriching year. Teaching is my passion, especially teaching ELA. I hope to instill a love of reading and writing in all of my students. The next few months are sure to be busy as we work hard, explore, and have fun! I can’t wait to get to know you, but first here’s a little about me. I was born in New Orleans, LA, but grew up right here in Douglas County. In fact, my parents owned a fabulous Italian restaurant in the county for eighteen years called Carollo’s Restaurant. I worked there many weekends and miss it a lot! I am married to Jim Woods and we have one son named Jacob. We are very proud that he will be attending Mercer University this fall! We have an Australian Shepherd named Smokey.

I began teaching in Douglas County in 2000 at Holly Springs Elementary. I was with Douglas County for eight years. I continued to teach in private schools until 2014. I was thrilled to accept a position at Winston Elementary in December, 2015! I’m very excited to spend the 2021-2022 school year with you. Let’s make it a great one. Go WILDCATS!
